It does not really matter that why they left you, which may be because they got fed up or you found them cheating on you etc. However, whatever the reason maybe but it surely breaks you from inside. You feel like you lacked the qualities necessary for being loved or there is something wrong with the way you love. You don’t want to meet friends and relatives especially the ones who knew your ex because you fear they might ask about him/her. You don’t like using your social media accounts even because they are full of pictures of you two together. You don’t need a shoulder to cry on because you fear that shoulder might question you about your ex.

However, this low self-esteem is something you should dump like you dumped your so-called significant other. You deserve to love yourself for being strong enough for being able to put up with someone who didn’t know your worth so here are few ways that will help build your self-esteem:

  1.    Acceptance

  You have to firstly accept that it is all over because the sooner you accept the better it is. It won’t definitely help checking their last seen on WhatsApp nor stalking their facebook for updates because you don’t need toxic people like them in your life anymore. You have to realize they have no place in your heart or life anymore that means you have to move on.  This will give you a sense of self-confidence as you will simply accept that things have happened for a reason.

  2.    Sense of Victory

  You have to realize that it is their loss to lose someone who loved them truly while you are at a winning position for letting go of someone who loved just their ego. You need to celebrate the fact that you are finally out of a relationship where you have never been loved the way you deserve to be loved despite giving your maximum.

  3.    Confide in Someone

  The feeling of “I want to be alone” is actually very bad for you and other relations around you. Why punish your loved ones who care for you for someone who didn’t? Sharing your feelings with someone doesn’t mean you are not strong so simply call your best friends over and cry your heart in front of them. Once when you have flushed the negativity out of your body through tears now there is just room for positivity.

  4.    Avoidance of Escape routes

 Many of us use exactly the wrong ways to overcome our pain which include getting into drugs, going for a rebound or staying overly busy etc. However, this is not at all going to help because you are a human who needs the right amount of love and care and jumping into a relationship or drugs because someone left is foolish. It will lead to greater disasters in future so simply let the positivity help you build your self-esteem.
